KUALA LUMPUR: After three years honing his skills as an amateur, Muhammad Aiman Raziz Affindi is now looking to make a name for himself among the big boys in the region's premier MMA series, ONE Championship.
The 21-year-old, who won the Malaysian Invasion Mixed Martial Arts Championships (MIMMA) featherweight title last year, signed a 27-month contract with ONE last week and is eager to make an impact.
"I feel great signing with ONE. I know I don't have to worry about trying to get a fight now because ONE will be giving me a good amount of fights in the next 27 months," said the Negri Sembilan lad.
"I am excited to showcase what I can do on an international level. I want to deliver fights people will remember.
"I chose to sign with ONE because I've seen a lot of my friends have a lot of success with ONE. It is the largest MMA promotion in Asia and it is huge in my home country Malaysia."
Aiman, who has competed in MIMMA since 2013, will make his ONE debut against Borneo Tribal Squad fighter Hisyam Samsudin in Kuala Lumpur next month.
