KUALA LUMPUR: Share prices on Bursa Malaysia moved higher in early trading on positive catalysts from the US stock market and easing tensions in the US-China trade dispute.

At 9.05am, the benchmark FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI (FBM KLCI) rebounded by 1.32 points to 1,793.92 from yesterday's close of 1,792.60.

The index opened 2.04 points lower at 1,790.56.

On the broader market, gainers led losers 135 to 64, with 136 unchanged, 1,552 untraded and 22 others suspended.

Volume stood at 129.14 million units valued at RM56.23 million.
