THE loan sharks are at it again in Muar. They have been sticking their illegal advertisements on the road signs and trees.

| Not content with sticking their illegal advertisements on road signs, some loan sharks are pasting their posters on tree trunks as well. |
Residential areas that are facing this problem include Taman Pertama, Taman Pertama Indah, Taman Merin, Taman Desa and Kampung Kenangan Tun Dr Ismail.
In Taman Pertama and Taman Pertama Indah, there are at least 10 loan shark advertisements on each lamp post.
Locals said the loan sharks and their agents put up the posters and stickers at night.
A 40-year-old resident who wanted to be known only as Teo said local authorities had carried out a campaign to deal with the problem last month.
"However, the loan sharks have now returned to create problems. They have posted stickers on road signs which cause problems for visitors looking for a house address," he added.
Teo complained that the advertisements were an eyesore and some of them would come off and litter the streets.
"I hope the authorities will once again take action against loan sharks and their agents," he added.
